DIY Facial Scrubs :)

With the winter months approaching, us guys and gals need to keep our faces and bodies moisturized. So, I decided to list some of my favorite diy facial scrubs to help get rid of dry skin and keep your skin looking its best. I love saving money and sharing my cheap ideas with you . :P
** Don't use any of these ingridients if you are allergic. **
Aspirin / Honey Face Scrub:
Ingredients:
3-4 Aspirin - uncoated
Pure Honey
Water
1.) Place aspirin on plate. Sprinkle enough drops of water so that they will begin to dissolve.
2.)Drop 2 -3 drops of honey on apirin and water, smashing them with your finger to make a paste.(will be grainy)
3.) Apply mixture to your face, rub it all over.
4) Add water to your hands and rub on your face. Let set for a few minutes.
5) Finally rinse the mixture completely off your face and apply moisturizer. :)
Once finished, your face should be soft, glowy, and smooth :)
**DIY Olive Oil / Sugar Scrub
Take a 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tsp. of extra virgin olive oil and mix together. (Do this while in the shower or at night before bed :) Massage mixture onto wet face / body. Rinse. The sugar helps get rid of dead skin and the evoo (olive oil) moisturizes :) Olive oil is also good to use as a rinse for dry hair and to moisturize eyelashes:)

Luminess Tan Airbrush Tutorial

After Pic Above :)

Before Pic Above!

Here is the before and after pics after using the Luminess Tan Airbrush Machine. This can be purchased at http://www.luminesstan.com/ This tan is awesome and easy to use! I loved this tan more than a regular spray tan. I like that the tan isn't orange, there isn't streaks, and the smell actually washes off! The price is reasonable, especially if you spray tan on a regular basis.

Tips to make your tan last:

Before you tan

1) Shower and exfoliate before your tan. Make sure you don't put on any lotion, perfume, makeup, or deodorant.

2) Leave the tan on for at least 10 hours. Avoid water immediately after your tan. Wear loose fitting clothes after your tan so the clothing doesn't rub the tan off. (I sleep after I tan and shower the next morning. Wash your sheets the next day.)

3) After 10 hours, shower being extra gentle when washing.

4) Make sure you moisturize at least twice a day. Luminess Tan sells a tan extender cream the I recommend you buy to make your tan last the 14 days it promises.

5) Enjoy your awesome tan!

Homemade Lip Scrub

My lips have been getting horribly chapped and rough this winter. I didn't want to pay outrageous prices when I knew I could make my own lip scrub with products from home. I wanted to share these recipes with you. I put the scrub on right before bed and rinse. My lips feel softer every time!

Sugar Lip Scrub

Mix a small amount of coarse sugar with a few drops of water.
Apply the mixture onto lips and gently rub it in. Wash with lukewarm water and apply olive oil or vaseline to moisturize them.

Honey Lip Scrub:
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • a few drops of olive oil
Mix honey and baking soda together until you get a paste. Put the paste on your lips and gently scrub them. Wipe them off and you will have smooth, kissable lips! :)

Blonde on a Budget :)

I have had tons of requests for a video on the products that I use to color my hair. I basically go by the instructions that come with the box. So, I decided just to blog about the products and tell how I dye my hair. The products I use are Loreal Preference in the color Lightest Natural Blonde. It is a level 3 permanent hair color. I add a packet of Ardell Red Gold Corrector Plus. I bought this at Sally's for $0.99. It is purple and I add it to the hair color before putting it on my hair. It makes the contents in the bottle a purplish-pink but it is supposed to eliminate gold and red tones in hair. I think it does work so I continue to use it! :) Here is the link for the Corrector: Link here .
The first step I do when coloring my hair is mix the developer and color together from the hair dye box. Then, I add the corrector (this can be messy so do it over a sink!) I shake the bottle a few minutes to make sure it is mixed well. Then, I start putting it on my roots. If you are dyeing your hair for the first time, you would put the color all over your head. I just do the roots first. I put the dye all over then I wait 20 minutes and put the remaining color from the bottle on the ends of my hair. I wait 5 minutes and rinse. I use the conditioner from the box. I put a quarter sized amount on my hair. I leave it on for 5 minutes to really get conditioned. Then, I rinse my hair and keep it wrapped in a towel for a bit to dry. I use CHI Silk Infusion and some heat protectant before I blow dry my hair.
I hope this helps you! I thought a video on it would be too boring! Thanks for subscribing and tell all your friends to check out my channel!!! Thanks :)

Arbonne Cosmetics

Great Product Alert!
I was sent some samples of Arbonne cosmetics and really like them! This is a company that doesn't test on animals, which I love! The cosmetics are sold by individual consultants. One of my favorite products was their Sheer Glow Highlighter. It reminded me of High Beam from Benefit. They sell a full cosmetic line including foundation, powder, and lip gloss. They also sell a skin care line that has rave revues! The products are a bit pricey but Eva, the sales rep said that if you emailed her personally, she could give you a great discount. Her email is evavjohnson@gmail.com . Her web store address is http://evavjohnson.myarbonne.com/
  • Botanically Based
  • pH Correct
  • Hypoallergenic
  • No animal testing
  • No animal products/by-products
  • No mineral oil
  • No chemical fragrance or dyes
Disclaimer: I was sent these products for free. This is my honest opinion of these products.
