House Remodel Before and After

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on this blog. However, I got a new design from 3eleven because I want to devote more time to blogging. Reading other blogs is one of my favorite things to do on the internet. My first post will be with some of before and after pics of my house. I want to start with the kitchen because it underwent the biggest (and most expensive) remodel. We purchased this home from my husband's parents. They hadn't lived in it for a while and it needed tons of updating and fixing. It was in rough condition. We totally "gutted" the house. I'm talking took down every interior door, all lighting fixtures, bathtubs, vanities, and flooring. Yeah, my summer was busy and we still have a lot of work to do to the outside.
This is a picture of my kitchen before:

The old cabinets were falling apart and made of particle board. My new cabinets are from Kraftmaid. They are dove white with a cocoa glaze. The old cabinets only had cabinets in an "L" shape by the window. I added the cabinets on the opposite wall with the plate rack, crown molding, and gallery rail. :)

My decor is still a work in progress. I'm planning on making curtains during my Thanksgiving Break from school. So, I'm hoping to do a YouTube tutorial on that. :)

Here is my YouTube that I did at the beginning on summer on the house while we were remodeling. Please check it out and subscribe to my two YouTube channels. :)   Home Tour "Before" Video

  1. I love seeing before and after photos of a house's remodeling process. It gives me an idea of how much it changed and how much effort was placed to make it look lovely. The kitchen looks a lot more amazing now, Sara. You did a great job! Kudos to you! :)
